Formed in 2018, San Saba Records, which is led by Jumbo frontman Clemente Castillo, will focus on releasing multi-genre, foreign language artists from around the world – initially concentrating on artists whose work is in Spanish. The goal is to introduce these musicians not only to a larger audience in their native countries, but to bring more international music to the United States to demonstrate that music is truly borderless and enjoyed by everyone, everywhere.
Different from its sister labels (Super Secret Records, Self Sabotage Records, and Sonic Surgery Records), there are no strict genre requirements for artists to join San Saba Records – any type of music is welcome so long as it is in a non-English language and the music is authentic.
