My name is Johnny Katovsich and I’m a music supervisor at Lionsgate. I’m loving what I’ve heard from Carl Sagan’s Skate Shoes so far. Would love to hear more and your other artists too. I’ve been on OBN III’s fan for awhile. I know Chrissy at Beggars Pub.
Just thought I’d reach out to introduce myself. I don’t have a specific project in mind for the music. I just like 2 of your bands so I imagine I’d be into others too. I’ll do what I can to support the cause. Thanks.
could you let me know your wholesale rates as I’d love to carry the Carl Sagan’s Skate Shoes LP in my distro over here in Finland?
My name is Hunter and I was wondering if you offered internships or anything like that. I am almost 19 years old and know I want to be in the music industry and I love your label. I would be willing to work for next to nothing I just want to get as much experience as possible.
What manufacturer do you guys use to mass produce cassette tapes?
at the moment we like to use A to Z Audio in Ohio: http://www.atozaudio.com
We play the music of Austin area musicians past and present on Around the Town Sounds, Thursdays at the noon hour, KOOP 91.7 FM Austin, Texas / koop.org. I understand Chris Foley lived in Austin a number of years, playing with the Swells, etc. Can you tell me which tracks on the new Transoma Five double LP feature Chris Foley, or any other musicians who live or used to live in the Austin area? Thanks!
Hey Super Secret,
We’re a psych/garage/pop band from Austin, TX called Chill Russell. We dig your record label and would love to work with Super Secret Records in any way possible. We feel like we’d be a great fit with the artists on your roster like Carl Sagan’s Skate Shoes and John Wesley Coleman III. Currently, we are promoting our second EP by playing big shows, doing radio, television, print press, and are writing our debut LP. We would love to schedule a meeting to talk about business opportunities and a possible partnership. Are you currently accepting submissions for label consideration?
On their latest release Chill Russell are “showing off their laid-back beach flare with a side of psychedelics, as if Brian Wilson himself had taken Pet Sounds and added some mescaline for a very chilled beach side hang. If you listen closely, you can almost smell the sunscreen.” – ovrld.com, November 10, 2016
“The approximately twenty two minutes five track EP leaves a faint whiff of cannabis resin floating in the air in a sound wrapped in ’60s retro-rock with a delivery that resonates of the warmth of analogue recording.” – emergingindiebands.com November 18, 2016
HI, Playing EVIL TRIPLET (and TRANSONA FIVE) on THE QUAKER GOES DEAF radio show, WESN in Bloomington, Illinois, USA. I would like to be able to send you future playlist when bands on your label are featured. if you could send me an email address for that purpose, that would be great!
THE QUAKER GOES DEAF/WESN
My name is Stone Mills, and I am a member of Des Moines, Iowa based garage rock band QUICK PISS. We released our debut record “ROCK ‘N’ ROLL IMPOTENCE” last summer. I am hoping to reissue the record through Super Secret Records.
Here is a link to the three singles from the record:
I’m trying to reach Mike Fickel to secure rights to his photograph of Dave Thomas and Pere Ubu in my 2018 book about Cleveland.
Thank you for any help you can provide.
Mike can be found on Facebook (we don’t have any affiliation with him, he just happened to be at the show taking some nice photos). If memory serves correctly, he had posted some of those Pere Ubu photos to the Facebook event page (https://www.facebook.com/events/182585472233095). Good luck!
Hi, thanks for the great music!!!
Just wondering: does the Plax LP include a download code to get the mp3s (or FLACs)?
Thanks a lot!
Thank you for the support! And yes, the Plax LP does come with a download code for the mp3s (no FLAC files, unfortunately).
Thanks a lot! Do you know record stores in NYC that would have the Plax LP? Otherwise, will mail order.
Again, thanks for the great music!
